Ashwood farms in the fields more famous for the Battle of Bosworth of 1485, the 22nd of August 1485 marks the date in which King Richard the lll was killed, who was the last king of England to be killed in battle.
Although the area is more famous for the battle, Georgina, Steve and little Holly are now becoming famous and renowned for the quality of their rare breed Tamworth pork. The stress free life they lead brings out the very best in flavor.
Although the Tamworth pig takes a lot longer to mature the meat is second
to none and well worth the wait. All our pigs are grazed free range and
naturally farmed outside all year round, enjoying a stress free environment
on the farm. All our Tamworth pigs have grown up in small family herds
enjoying the free range life of sunbathing, rooting, endless playing and mud
baths of which they all really enjoy. The health and welfare of our Tamworth
pigs is always our number one priority. We do not castrate, tail dock or
clip teeth on any of our Tamworth pigs
